Special mathi curry by Molly Kannamaly

Actor Molly Kannamaly has won the hearts of the Malayali audiences with her natural acting skills. However, not many know that Molly is an excellent cook who specializes in delicious fish curries.

10 sardines
10 shallots
Small piece of ginger
6 cloves garlic
4 green chillies
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
2 tbsp coconut oil
Water as required
1 tsp vinegar

Clean the sardines and slit through both sides of the body
Crush the shallots, ginger, garlic, and green chillies
Heat coconut oil in an earthen vessel (chatty)
Add the crushed shallots, ginger, garlic and green chillies with some salt and turmeric powder
Sauté well
Now add chilli powder and sauté until the raw smell is gone
Add the vinegar and some water, as needed
Into it, add the cleaned fish pieces 
Cook for at least 10 minutes with the lid on
Turn off the flame after the gravy has boiled and the fish pieces are cooked nicely.
