Food vlogger Firoz Chuttipara who has conquered the hearts of the foodies in Kerala with his unique recipes and simple presentation style has come up with a special dish that would add oodles of flavours to your New Year celebrations.
In his latest video, the vlogger introduces delicious chicken cooked in the tender coconut shells. This dish tastes amazing with porotta, roti or naan. Here is Firoz's recipe of his special tender coconut chicken.
Chicken (cut into small pieces)
Vegetable oil (do not use coconut oil)
Marinate the washed chicken pieces with turmeric powder, chilli powder, crushed ginger and garlic, yoghurt, salt, vegetable oil, lemon juice, green chillies, shallots, mint and coriander leaves
Keep the marinated chicken aside for at least one and half hours
Pour out the water from fresh tender coconuts
Fill the marinated chicken mix into these tender coconut shells
Seal the mouth of the tender coconuts using dough made by mixing all-purpose flour and water
Bake these filled tender coconuts over firewood
The tender coconut chicken should be baked for at least one and half to two hours or until the chicken pieces are well cooked.
