Sabita George prepares the perfect unakkachemmeen chutney

Mini screen star Sabita George shares an interesting recipe of Kottayam style dried prawns chutney that tastes fabulous with boiled tapioca.

Ingredients
100 gms prawns
6 shallots
2 sprigs curry leaves
4 dried chillies
2 tbsp grated coconut
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp chilli powder
Salt as required
1 tbsp oil

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan
Fry the prawns by adding some turmeric powder
Set it aside
Into the same pan add the grated coconut, curry leaves and dried chillies
Roast well
Add the shallots when the above ingredients are almost done
Sauté well
Turn off the flame and then add chilli powder
Add salt if required
Crush these in a mixer jar or on a traditional stone grinder
Sprinkle some coconut oil if required
Enjoy the spicy and tasty dried prawns chutney.
