Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu's monsoon special ariyunda

Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu recently posted a reel video on Instagram where she makes ariyunda (sweet balls made with rice flour), a popular snack in Kerala.

Captioning it 'Monsoon special,' Parvathy starts by roasting the rice and grinding into a fine powder. Then she grinds grated coconut and jaggery and later mixes with rice powder. Parvathy then plates it by rolling the mixture in to small ball-shaped ariyundas.

Here is the full recipe:

1 glass rice
100 gms jaggery
½ piece coconut (grated)
3-4 cardamoms

Wash the rice properly and dry them
Roast them until golden brown
Grind the rice into fine powder while warm
Add cardamoms, grind well, and keep it aside
Grind the grated coconut
Mix the powdered rice, scraped jaggery, and ground coconut together
using hands
Shape this mixture into balls according to preferred size
