Celebrate International Coffee Day with these coffee recipes

The world celebrates 1 October as International Coffee Day. As per the latest reports, coffee is one of the most trending ingredients of 2021. It is estimated that about 2 billion cups of coffee per day is consumed by people worldwide.

Meanwhile, coffee lovers have proved that coffee could be enjoyed in various forms. Not just the classic hot beverage, coffee is used as an ingredient in hundreds of dishes, including mouth watering desserts. Check out two special recipes in which coffee has been added for its unique flavor.

Cinnamon infused filter coffee mousse
Ingredients
100 gms mascarpone cheese
100 gms icing sugar
150 gms heavy whipping cream
75 ml strong filter coffee decoction
5 gms cinnamon powder
20 gms almond flakes

Preparation
Beat the mascarpone cheese and icing sugar nicely
Beat the heavy cream until peaks are formed
Mix the filter coffee decoction in the beaten cheese and icing sugar mixture
Now add this into the whipped cream
Fold well
Add the cinnamon powder too
Mix well
Transfer the mousse into the serving glasses
Keep these glasses of mousse in the fridge for at least 3 – 4 hours
Garnish the set mousse with almond flakes before serving.

Eggless coffee ice cream
Ingredients
2 tbsp instant coffee powder
1 tbsp hot water
200 gms condensed milk
300 ml cream
Preparation
Mix the instant coffee powder with hot water
Allow this coffee to cool down a bit
Add the coffee into the condensed milk
Mix well
Meanwhile, mix cream and coffee flavored condensed milk in a bowl
Beat well until it thickens
Transfer this mix into a container
Keep the ice cream in the freezer overnight for it to set
Take out the silky smooth ice cream from the fridge 5 minutes before serving
Serve in ice cream bowls with chocolate sauce or your favorite toppings.
