Squid: 1 kg
Small onions: 250 gms
Green chillies: 5 nos
Ginger: small piece
Garlic: 2 fistfuls (not sure)
Coconut pieces: ½ cup
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Chilli powder: 2 tsp
Pepper powder: 1 tsp
Masala powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coconut oil: 4 tsp
Mustard seeds: ½ tsp
Boil the squid adding turmeric and salt.
Heat a Kadai, pour oil and throw some mustard seeds.
Sauté the coconut pieces, followed by small onions, ginger, garlic and curry leaves.
Now add the sliced tomatoes to this mixture.
When the tomatoes soften, add all the dry powders (turmeric, chilli, pepper, coriander, masala).
Once the raw smell goes, add the cooked squid to the mixture and mix well.
Add salt and mix it all nicely.
Tasty squid roast is ready to serve.
