Cheela is a North Indian pancake that is healthy and easy to prepare. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup chickpea flour
¼ cup oats
2 beetroots
1 onion
2 green chillies
1 tsp ginger
½ cup coriander leaves
1 tsp ajwain
¼ tsp turmeric powder
A pinch of asafoetida
2 tbsp oil
Water as required
Salt as required

Preparation
Cook the beetroot by adding some water
After it has cooled down, blend the beetroot in a mixer jar
Soak the oats for 15 minutes in ½ cup water
Grind the soaked oats
Take the chickpea flour in a bowl
Add the beetroot puree and grinded oats
Add all the ingredients, except oil and water
Mix well
Now add water and mix into batter that is not too thick
Grease a hot pan with oil
Pour a ladle full of batter and spread
Spread chopped onion and coriander leaves
Sprinkle oil on all the sides
Close the lid and cook for 2 -3 minutes
Press lightly using a spatula
Now flip the cheela and cook the other side
Now cook without the lid until both sides are crispy
Enjoy beetroot cheela with chutney or curries.
