Banana ada: The perfect evening tea accompaniment

Thinking of a simple, tasty accompaniment for your hot evening tea? Here's an easy banana ada that you can make, with overripe bananas you don't feel like eating raw. Not only is it super soft enough to melt in your mouth, it is also loaded with nutrients. And if you just had a heavy feast for Eid and is in the mood to have something light for tea, this ada is the perfect recipe for you. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients
2 big ripe plantains
2 tbsp ghee
300 gms jaggery
½ cup water
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of salt
200 gms vermicelli

Preparation
Boil water with some ghee in it
When it boils add the vermicelli
Cook and strain the vermicelli
Run the vermicelli under normal water and strain again
Meanwhile, make jaggery syrup by melting it in half cup water
Heat ghee in a pan
Fry the plantains in hot ghee
Add grated coconut
Mix well
Add half of jaggery syrup in this
Give everything a good mix
Add cardamom powder and salt too
Add the cooked vermicelli
Mix well
Add more jaggery syrup if required
Place the filling on a plantain leaf
Fold the leaf
Enjoy tasty banana – vermicelli ada.
