Overripe bananas that have blackened skin are loaded with antioxidants and are excellent to cure anemia and heart-related ailments.

Many yummy snacks are made exclusively with overripe bananas. Since this snack is steamed, it could be enjoyed by everyone. Check out the recipe for a steamed banana snack that would be loved by both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
2 ripe plantains
150 gms jaggery
¼ cup water
½ cup grated coconut
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp cashews
½ tsp cardamom powder
½ tsp cumin powder
1 tsp dried ginger powder
2 tbsp sugar
¼ cup roasted rice flour

Preparation
Melt the jaggery by adding ¼ cup water
Strain the melted jaggery and keep it aside to be used later
Steam the ripe plantains
After the bananas cool down, blend them in a mixing jar
Pour the jaggery syrup and blend again
Add jaggery in small amounts so that you can adjust the sweetness
Heat a tsp of ghee in a pan
Fry the raisins and cashews; set them aside
Add the banana mix to this pan
Cook for two minutes
Now add grated coconut
When the mixture begins to separate from the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder, cumin powder, powdered sugar, dried ginger powder, and a pinch of salt
Give everything a good mix
Into it add the roasted rice flour
Mix well
Turn off the flame when everything is cooked perfectly
Grease the idli vessel with ghee
Place raisins and cashews in each hole
Now add some dough over it; do not forget to press the dough so that it would stay firm
Cook in steam for 12 minutes
Tasty and nutritious steamed banana snack is ready.
