Say goodbye to back pain in lockdown by practising this yoga pose

Vakrasanam is a simple yoga posture that strengthens the backbone to do more complex yoga postures while standing. Moreover, this would give you relief from persisting back pain. Vakrasanam could make your hip look fitter and would strengthen the nerves and muscles around it. Besides, the internal organs in the abdomen area and the back muscles too would get stronger.

To practice the varkrasanam, stand with your legs at least 3 - 4 feet apart. Breathe in and hold it for 3 – 4 seconds. While breathing out, turn your upper body to the right side. Meanwhile, fix your sight on the fingers on your right hand. The hands should be held horizontal to the ground.

The feet should be fixed firmly on the ground and shouldn’t move. Hold your body like this for at least 3 - 4 seconds. Come back to the former position while breathing in. Repeat this to the left side as well. You could do this exercise to both the sides 4 - 5 times.
