These days, many people go to the gym to maintain a healthy and fit body. This article doesn’t intend to discourage you from your decision to hit the gym. It is indeed a great habit to work out at the gym every day. However, it is also important to exercise safely, giving enough attention to one’s cardiovascular health. Certain mistakes committed at the gym can even cost one’s life. Dr Rinet Sebastian KV, Senior Consultant at the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Apollo Adlux Hospital, Angamaly, explains some of the mistakes people commonly make at the gym, putting cardiovascular health at risk.
