Also known as child's pose, it's a restorative posture that can help you stretch gently, release stress, and promote mindfulness. According to Harvard Health, the pose can also offer a sense of stability and calm. The Art of Living also terms it as 'shishuasan.'

How to do it?
1. Kneel on a soft mat, keeping your toes together.
2. Sink to your thighs, leaving a little space between your knees.
3. Raise your arms overhead and bend forward, exhaling. 
4. Your palms should be pointed back and face up.
6. Keep your face to one side. 
7. Stay bent for a couple of breaths.  
8. Repeat, as per your comfort.

What to be careful of?
1. Ensure proper spacing between your knees.
2. Make sure you are breathing properly, in a calm manner.
3. If you have knee issues, do not do it without the supervision of a trainer.
4. If you feel your knees or ankles are under extreme tension, place blankets or cushions under them for support.
