Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 1,193 new COVID cases and 1,034 recoveries on Tuesday.
With this, the number of active COVID cases in the state rose to 8,064.
So far, 64,47,255 have been cured of the disease.
Of the new cases, 1,128 contracted the virus through contact while five came from outside the state and 24 are healthcare workers.
A total of 27,465 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram districts reported the most cases - 187, 175 and 145 respectively.
Three COVID deaths were confirmed on Tuesday.
With this, the COVID death toll in the state is 66,958.
There are currently 24,100 people under observation across the state.
Of them, 23,272 are under home or institutional quarantine while 828 are in hospitals.
