558 new COVID cases in Kerala; active cases now 4,802

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 558 new COVID cases and 773 recoveries on Thursday.
With this, the number of active COVID cases in the state fell to 4,802.
So far, 64,56,428 have been cured of the disease.'
Of the new cases, 525 contracted the virus through contact. Seven are healthcare workers.
A total of 21,229 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Ernakulam, Kottayam and Kozhikode districts reported the most cases - 119, 69 and 61 respectively.
Two COVID deaths were confirmed on Thursday. The COVID death toll in the state is 67,550.
There are currently 15,996 people under observation across the state.
Of them, 17,541 are under home or institutional quarantine while 469 are in hospitals.
