Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 400 new COVID cases and 593 recoveries on Saturday.

With this, the number of active COVID cases in the state fell to 3,833.

So far, 64,58,586 have been cured of the disease.

Of the new cases, 366 contracted the virus through contact while one came from outside the state and three are healthcare workers.

A total of 14,913 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam districts reported the most cases - 88, 56 and 55 respectively.

No COVID deaths were confirmed on Saturday. The COVID death toll in the state is 67,797.

There are currently 14,513 people under observation across the state.

Of them, 14,093 are under home or institutional quarantine while 420 are in hospitals.
