Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 429 new COVID cases and 620 recoveries on Thursday.

With this, the number of active COVID cases in the state fell to 3,171.

So far, 64,60,767 have been cured of the disease.

Of the new cases, 372 contracted the virus through contact while two came from outside the state and nine are healthcare workers.

A total of 19,648 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam districts reported the most cases - 89, 66 and 50 respectively.

One COVID deaths was confirmed on Thursday. The COVID death toll in the state is 67,913.

There are currently 12,725 people under observation across the state.

Of them, 12,498 are under home or institutional quarantine while 227 are in hospitals.
