Kollam: Lotteries and elections are often compared for their shared element of chance, and a UDF candidate in Kollam has turned that idea into a striking campaign tool. Faizal Kulapadam, contesting from the Nedumpana division of the district panchayat, has released a campaign poster designed to look exactly like a Kerala State lottery ticket, a creative twist that has quickly caught public attention.

The poster presents the 2025 polls as a "bumper lottery," with the price of a single ticket listed as "one vote." Instead of cash rewards, the ticket promises a set of "guaranteed prizes" if he is elected- seven of them in total. These include better roads, a cleaner division, and enhanced safety for women, among other commitments. Faizal says the design is a playful yet meaningful way to convey his development agenda to voters.

"With Artificial Intelligence playing a major role in the current election, my team worked on a plan to conduct a unique campaign, which led to the designing of the poster," said Faizal.

Announcements to promote the lottery have also been prepared. Faizal’s campaign team has released another special poster also. It is a puzzle which leads children to the candidate.
