Meta's Facebook and Instagram and OpenAI's ChatGPT experienced global outages on Thursday morning, sparking widespread user frustration.

While Instagram said its services have since resumed, ChatGPT continues to face significant disruptions. The outage, which began around 12:50 PM ET, affected millions of users worldwide. At its peak, over 100,000 incidents were reported for Facebook and nearly 70,000 for Instagram, reported Reuters.

OpenAI acknowledged the outage on X, stating that they have identified the issue and are working on a fix. The disruption has also impacted OpenAI's API and Sora services.
