Bihar natives Sonu and Manesh were flown in on Sunday in connection with an investigation into the source of the pistol used by Rakhil to kill himself before murdering his estranged lover Manasa last month
With the help of the Bihar Police, a police team from Kerala led by Kothamangalam Sub-Inspector, Mahin, arrested Sonu Kumar Modi, 21, a native of Khapra Thara village in Munger district.
The witnesses, who are batch-mates of Manasa at the dental college, had claimed that they could hear the sound of four gunshots from the room where Manasa was dragged into before Rakhil fired at her.
Manasa and her killer Rakhil, who later committed suicide, were cremated at Kannur on Sunday.
Rakhil had killed himself after murdering Manasa, a house surgeon at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences at Nellikuzhi, on Friday afternoon.

The dam is now maintained by the state government under the Periyar valley project, and some areas of the famous Thattekad bird sanctuary touch the dam waters.
The arrested are Oonjapara native Sreejith, 36; Inchoor native Kumaran, 59; and Kuttilanji native Anilkumar.
While admitting the state government's appeal, the division bench stayed the order till Friday when the case would come up for hearing again.
