The Kerala High Court on Monday allowed the petition challenging the appointment of Inquiry Commission to find a permanent solution in the dispute between the Munambam residents and the Waqf Board.
The Home Department has issued a gazette notification extending the term of the commission for a period of three months from February 27, 2025.

IUML state president Panakkad Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal clarified that the party has already communicated its official position on the matter.
The dispute began in 2019 when the Wakf Board claimed ownership over land allegedly donated to Farook College in Kozhikode.
The Commission shall complete the inquiry and submit its report to the government within three months.
