A sessions court in Kannur has sentenced ten CPM workers and leaders, including a panchayat member, to prison terms up to 25 years for repeatedly hurling bombs at BJP workers in front of police on November 27, 2011, in Thimri.
The decision was postponed on Sunday after the court accepted the arguments opposing the public prosecution's case, and the hearing was adjourned.
A penalty of Rs 20,000 was also slapped on the accused.
Sail was arrested after the CBI registered the case against him and spent a year in jail before being released on bail.
As per the case, the girl was sexually abused from November 2020 to February 2021.
The judge ordered that the amount shall be given to the boy and in case of failure in payment of money, the convict shall have to undergo imprisonment for two more months.
The fraud pertaining to the case was detected during 2001-2002.
According to the verdict pronounced by judge R Rekha, if the penalty is not paid, the convict shall undergo imprisonment for another two months.
