The missile project has been designated to Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE ), a Bengaluru-based DRDO lab developing unmanned systems. It has the expertise of developing India’s first home-grown subsonic cruise missile, Nirbhay.
This was the sixth launch of Nirbhay (NGL-06) and was aimed at testing the reliability of ‘boost phase’ and ‘cruise phase’ using way point navigation at very low altitudes.
