The UGC criteria make it clear that there will not be an MPhil degree from now onwards. The new conditions come into being in the place of the 2016 criteria.
These would come into effect from the date of publication in the Union Gazette. This would modify the May 5, 2016, Regulation and its subsequent two amendments.
