Hello
The stampede took place during the distribution of charitable donations by merchants in the final days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The people died after unknowingly stepping on a live wire at a location where free food was being distributed.
Last week, two Arema FC match officials were also jailed for negligence, in the first verdicts over the stampede.
Both men worked for Arema FC, and have been banned from soccer-related activities for life by the country's football federation.
The saree distribution was organised by a private organisation as part of a festival.
The incident comes just three days after the death of eight people during a similar event in Nellore in southern Andhra Pradesh.
It is estimated that 1,00,000 people flocked to Itaewon streets for the Halloween festivities.
Officials said the death toll had risen overnight to 154 with 149 injured, 33 of them in serious condition. Citizens from at least two dozen countries were among the dead.
When supporters of the losing home team invaded the pitch in East Java province on Saturday night to express their frustration, officers fired tear gas in an attempt to control the situation, triggering a stampede.
Naseri Paul Biya, the governor of the central region of Cameroon, said there could be more deaths.
