The Cyber Cell police arrested the youths, Nidhin and Manu of Arimboor, Thrissur, after the bank filed a complaint.
The accused is Jinesh Jayan of Jinesh Bhavan, Vilavurkkal Malayam, in Malayankeezhu. The phone has been handed over to the Cyber Cell for a detailed investigation.
The police had begun a probe immediately after the actor filed a complaint.
Though cyber police stations have one or two female officers now, they are mostly assigned to record statements.
In a statement released on social media, the collective demanded that Vijay Babu be suspended from all film bodies until a verdict comes out.
The actor was arrested by Khar Police Station on Saturday after he made some objectionable comments during a Facebook live session,
