Six women Indian Navy officers circumnavigated the globe recently on the INSV Tarini.
Amongst the three women pilots operationalized for MR flying, Lt Shivangi was the first to qualify as a naval pilot in December last year.

'We need separate accommodation for women, separate toilets and other such facilities for them,' Vice-Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla said.
Hailing from Muzzafarpur in Bihar, Shivangi would be flying the Naval Dornier surveillance aircraft.
Sub Lieutenant Shivangi is all set to become the Indian Navy's first woman pilot. She will complete her training at the headquarters of the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on December 2.
