In a significant political development for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections, the United Democratic Front (UDF) has nominated former Left Democratic Front (LDF) MLA and Trinamool Congress leader P. V. Anvar as its candidate for the Beypore constituency
He said the invitation to contest from Beypore forms part of a calculated political strategy.
Rejecting the claim, Chandrasekharan said he continues to serve as the vice-chairperson of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Briefing the media after the UDF co-ordination committee meeting here on Monday, Satheesan said that all the parties have not raised any demands.
Three others acquitted.
Joseph remarked that “no matter how sweet a 'payasam' becomes, it is never a problem,” suggesting that adding more allies would only strengthen the UDF.
Officials said the TMC leader and his associate had availed loans amounting to ₹12 crore in 2015.
District committees have been asked to finalise and submit candidate lists to the state leadership
The Kerala High Court allows P.V. Anvar's impleading petition in ADGP assets case involving M.R. Ajithkumar.
The Trinamool Congress leader further accused Ajith Kumar of working for the RSS in Kerala.
