Recently, the producer Antony Perumbavoor had confirmed that the film would be released on an OTT platform after his attempts to make a deal with theatre owners failed.
He claimed that Marakkar was too big a movie for the Malayalam cinema industry.
Though the deal has not been made public, the amount, if true, would be the highest deal with an OTT (over-the-top) platform in the country.
