The development comes days after FEFKA General Secretary B Unnikrishnan publicly alleged that the producer, who is also a director, incurred a loss of at least ₹25 lakh from a channel deal because the lead actor failed to attend promotions.
Anoop Kannan, producer of the 2024 film ‘Nadanna Sambhavam,’ has publicly accused actor Biju Menon of failing to fulfill promotional commitments as per their contract, resulting in an estimated Rs 25 lakh loss for Kannan. Kannan stated that while a contract with the Kerala Film Producers’ Association mandates 10 days of promotion, actors often manage two to three days; however, Menon reportedly only participated for a mere two and a half hours on one occasion despite their friendship and initial willingness. Kannan raised the issue with the producers' association and considered legal action due to a lack of resolution, expressing relief that FEFKA general secretary B Unnikrishnan recently brought attention to Menon's alleged pattern of not honoring promotional obligations, a statement that also touched on actors' habitual late arrivals to sets. Neither Biju Menon nor director Jeethu Joseph have yet responded to the allegations.
The film revolves around Antony Xaviour, a morally compromised police officer played by Biju Menon, and Samuel, a desperate father portrayed by Joju George, whose daughter Irene has gone missing.
