At Hotel Sambhu Sankaran, ‘chicken thoran’ is prepared with pure coconut oil and served in combination with boiled tapioca. To relish the dish best, the traditional dish of ‘thoran’ has to be mixed thoroughly with tapioca. Then, add some chicken gravy and mix once again with your hand. Roll the mixture into a lump and place it in your mouth. One would feel as if in heaven, say food aficionados.

From Thiruvananthapuram city, travel to Kattakkada and continue to Aryanad Junction. At the junction, anybody can tell you the route to Hotel Sambhu Sankaran, which is now a major local landmark. 

Rates and working hours

At Hotel Sambhu Sankaran, a plate of ‘Naadan kozhi thoran’ costs Rs 90, while a plate of boiled tapioca is charged Rs 30.

The hotel is open only from 12 noon to 3 pm.
