These foreign women are learning more about Kerala during lockdown

Vadakara: A group foreign women who got stranded in Kerala due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown have been learning about the unique culture and traditions of state to beat boredom.

These women who are from Tunisia, Italy, Hungary and Germany came to Kerala for Ayurvedic treatment. They are spending the lockdown days at the Azhiyoor Greens Ayurvedic hospital.

Though their treatment period is over, they follow a strict Ayurvedic lifestyle at the hospital. They are interested in learning yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic cooking and the various cultural practices of India. They also share the culinary traditions of their country with the staff at the hospital.

Listening to local music that are related to the traditions, reading Ayurvedic books and learning the traditional Ayurvedic recipes are some of their favourite pastimes here.
