In the light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, various airlines have been cancelling flights and airports closing down in various parts of India, especially in the northern region. Now, Indigo Airlines has announced that it will not be conducting services to 10 cities till May 10. In a travel advisory published on its social media page, the airline said, "Due to the current situation, all flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Hishangarh and Rajkot are cancelled till 11.59 pm on May 10."
At a time when many airlines are similarly cancelling flights, passengers were offered options to refund ticket charges or reschedule flights. The customer support was also helping them with questions both on online platforms and support forums. However, it looks like the airline's customer support isn't active now. Many flyers allege on X that they are not getting any responses and the airline hasn't responded to the complaints either. A flyer named Chinmay has mentioned that he has been tweeting constantly and yet, isn't getting a response. "The morning post claimed that we are going to receive a refund waiver for flights till 22nd. Mine was on 10th and just before this post, it was rescheduled to 13th by Indigo. Where do I stand?," he asks in the post.
Meanwhile, a few hours ago, the airline had said that bookings made on or before May 8, 2025 are eligible for change or cancellation fee waiver for travel until May 22, to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kishangarh and Rajkot.
