New Delhi: Fly 91 airline company, owned by Keralite entrepreneur Manoj Chacko, has added two more flights to its fleet. With the latest addition, Fly 91 will have a total of six aircraft. The company has leased two ATR 72–600 turboprop aircraft from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise. The aircraft will be brought from Toulouse in France by the end of this month. Meanwhile, the services will be scheduled to connect Hubbali (Karnataka), Rajmundri and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Nanded (Maharashtra), and Dabolim (Goa). 

Fly 91 Airlines, based in Goa, was started in 2023 by a consortium headed by Thrissur native Manoj Chacko. Currently, Fly 91 operates services to eight destinations, including Goa, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Lakshadweep. The airline company, meanwhile, plans to connect over 50 cities in the next five years. Some towns in Kerala are also likely to be on the list. Fly 91 will increase its fleet to 30 aircraft to expand its extensive connectivity across various Indian cities. The airline primarily operates ATR 72–600 aircraft, which can carry up to 72 passengers.

As Fly 91 is a domestic airline company, it will connect tier 2 and 3 Indian cities. Currently, Fly 91 is the only airline in India owned by a Keralite. The company was named by adding 91, the telephone code for India. Manoj, the former executive vice president of Kingfisher Airlines, is an aviation expert with years of industry experience. 

2.59 lakh passengers
According to the data released by the DGCA, more than 2.59 lakh passengers flew Fly 91 from January to November 2025. It was just 62,000 passengers in the previous year. Around 33,000 passengers chose this airline for domestic travels during October and November each.
