Kids' cooking | Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients
150gm soft unsalted butter
125gm soft light brown sugar
100gm caster sugar
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 egg, fridge-cold
1 egg yolk, fridge-cold
300gm flour
½ tsp soda bi carbonate
325gm chocolate chips


Preparation
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees
Combine the softened butter with the brown sugar and castor sugar, and beat well
Add the vanilla while it's getting mixed
Add the egg and the yolk
Slowly mix the flour and the soda bi carbonate until just blended
Fold in the chocolate chips
Line a baking tray with baking parchment
Start making cookie shapes out of the dough
Lay them on the tray and bake in the oven at 170 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly toasted.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes
