Reeb drink

The drink bears a striking similarity with beer, is a non-alcoholic beverage made from nutmeg. It takes a period of 41 days to brew the drink, but we assure you, it is worth the wait. Once you taste this cool, fun drink, it is nothing but absolute bliss! 

Ingredients
10 kg nutmeg peels
3 kg jaggery
100 gm thathiripoovu (fire flame bush)
100 gm lac
2 tbsp cloves
2 tbsp cardamom

A handful of wheat

Preparation
Thoroughly wash the nutmeg peels, and allow it dry out
Now, arrange the peels in a layer in earthen container
Overlay the layer with a layer of jaggery
Repeat the layering and sprinkle powdered thathiripoovu, lac, cloves and cardamom in between the layers
A handful of beaten wheat will accelerate fermentation
Once the container is full, close it tightly with a lid
Open the container after 41 days, and filter out the arishtam for use
Do it carefully lest it mixes with water
