Quail egg with spicy prawns

Here is a simple and unique recipe of quail egg with prawns, which makes an amazing side dish for rice, chappathi, pathiri or appam.

Ingredients
1/2 kg medium sized prawns (cleaned)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt as required
Coconut oil as required
3/4 cup shallots (sliced)
3/4 cup onions (sliced)
1 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
1 tsp garlic (finely chopped)
1 tsp green chillies (finely chopped)
1 tbsp carrot (finely chopped)
1/2 cup tomatoes (diced)
1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala
8 quail eggs
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek
Coriander and curry leaves as required

Preparation
Marinate the cleaned prawns with turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt as per taste
Heat oil in a pan
Fry the marinated prawns
In the same pan, heat some more oil if required
Fry the quail eggs (bull's eye) without breaking the yolk
Keep it aside and sprinkle a pinch of salt on top
Heat oil in a wok
Add fennel and fenugreek seeds
When it pops, add finely chopped ginger, and garlic
Sauté well
Add green chillies, onions, shallots, and carrot
Sauté well
Add tomatoes, coriander powder, pepper powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, and salt as required
Roast well
Add coriander and curry leaves
Mix well
Add the previously fried prawns
Pour some water
Cook well with the lid on
In a flat dish, serve the prawn masala
Place the fried eggs on top
Garnish with coriander and curry leaves
While serving, a fried egg too should be served in a plate along with some prawn masala
This dish which tastes incredible is visually appetizing as well.
