Grandmother's fish fry for this Easter

This Easter we are trying an old school preparation of a fish fry and our chef Sophy Kuriakose calls it grandmother's fish fry. Here is a delicious recipe of an easy-to-make fish fry at your house devised by the vlogger of Cook with Sophy.

½ kg fish (Kalanji or Asian sea bass)
1 tbsp ginger
8 garlic
10 shallots
1½ tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp garam masala
1 tbsp vinegar
Curry leaves
Water as needed
Oil as needed

Blend the following ingredients in the mixer starting with ginger, garlic, onion, chilli powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, vinegar, curry leaves, salt and water.
Transfer the masala mixture into a bowl.
Into the bowl, add the fish and add 1 tbsp oil.
Marinate the fish with the masala and keep it aside for 15 minutes
Heat oil in a pan
Add the marinated fish to the pan
Cover the pan with the lid for 10 minutes
Turn the sides of the fish and fry again
Cook it for 10 minutes in low flame
Add few curry leaves and close it for sometime.
Transfer grandmother's fish fry to a serving dish and garnish.
