Spicy passion fruit curry

Passion fruit is excellent for diabetic patients as it lowers blood sugar level. This sweet and tangy fruit is a storehouses of vitamins C and B2, beta-carotene, and copper.

Here is a unique recipe of passion fruit curry which is quite spicy as bird-eye chillies are added in it.

Ingredients
240 gm passion fruits (2, if they are big)
2 tbsp rice flour
3 tbsp coconut 
4 Bird's eye chillies or green chillies
8 shallots
½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
1 tbsp oil
¼ tsp fenugreek
¼ tsp mustard seeds
3 dried chillies
Curry leaves as required

Preparation
Separate the seeds to take the passion fruit pulp alone
Heat an earthen chatty or vessel 
Pour in the passion fruit pulp, turmeric powder, salt and curry leaves
When this begins to boil up, add the rice flour mixed in some water (to thicken it up)
Grind coconut, cumin, 6 shallots and bird eye chillies 
Add the coconut-bird eye chillies paste into the passion fruit mix along with 2 cups water
Allow it to cook well
Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek
Add 2 chopped shallots, dried chillies, curry leaves and chilli powder
Roast them well
Add this tempering into the passion fruit curry.
