Quick chicken curry without onion

The soaring price of onions has really upset the chicken lovers who enjoy the classic chicken curry with rich, spicy onion gravy.

However, not many know that delicious chicken curry can be made without onions. Check out this simple recipe of chicken curry without onions.

Ingredients
500 gm chicken
1 bay leaf
3 cloves
1 cinnamon
¼ tsp black pepper corns
3 dried chillies
1 tbsp chilli powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
½ tbsp turmeric powder
1 tomato
1 piece ginger (crushed)
5 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 small cup yoghurt
Coriander leaves as required
Curry leaves
2 green chillies
1 tbsp oil

Preparation
Grind the bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, black peppercorns and dried chillies together in a mixer jar
Boil one cup water in a pressure cooker
Into it add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and chicken pieces as well
Mix well and cook
Heat oil in a pan and sauté curry leaves and green chillies
Now add crushed ginger and garlic and chopped tomato
Add garam masala 
Give everything a good mix
Into it add the cooked chicken along with the sauce
When this begins to thicken up, add the yoghurt
Mix well
Sprinkle some garam masala on top
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
