1 ½ kg chicken (cut into small pieces)
1 onion (thinly sliced)
1 tsp ginger (sliced)
7 green chillies (split in half)
1 tsp vinegar
2 potatoes
1 ½ cups water
10 cloves garlic (cut in half)
10 cardamom pods
 1 clove
2 pieces cinnamon
1 ½ tsp cumin
1 ½ tsp fennel seeds
1 ½-2 tbsp coconut oil
1 ½-2 tsp coconut milk
Curry leaves
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 ½ tsp all purpose flour
½ cup first extract of coconut milk
1 ½ cups second extract of coconut milk

Pressure cook the chicken pieces with half cup water, vinegar, salt and cubed potatoes until two whistles
Dry roast the cinnamon sticks, clove, cardamom, cumin and fennel seeds
After this spice mix has cooled down, grind it into fine powder in a mixer jar
Heat coconut oil in a pan and sauté the onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves
Add the black pepper powder, all purpose flour/rice flour/corn flour and the spice powder
Mix well
Now add the cooked chicken and mix everything well
When the gravy boils, add the second extract of coconut milk
Taste for seasoning and add more salt if required
Allow this to boil well
Now add the first extract of coconut milk
Give everything a good mix
Garnish with fresh curry leaves.
