Are you bored of all the regular breakfast dishes? Then try out this unique, colourful and delicious beetroot paratha.
Ingredients
1 cup beetroot (chopped)
1 tsp ginger (crushed)
2 bird eye chillies
1 tsp irumban puli or averrhoa bilimbi (crushed)
2 cups wheat flour
1 tsp ajwain
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt as required
Oil as required
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the beetroot, ginger, bird eye chillies and bilimbi
Now grind this sautéed mixture in a mixer jar
Into a mixing bowl add the atta, ajwain, cumin powder, garam masala and salt
Add the beetroot paste
Mix this into soft dough
Keep the dough aside for at least 15 minutes
Make small balls from this
Grease oil on a tawa
Cook the parathas by flipping it.
