Learned cooking after marriage
"My cooking was a disaster in the beginning. My husband has helped me a lot during then. He cooks really well. His sister too is an excellent cook. I learned cooking only after I married Babu chettan and went to his home. He hails from Alappuzha. It is from his home that I actually learned cooking," says Ponnamma with a smile.
Ponnamma is an expert in cooking traditional dishes. She often presents cookery shows in television channels. She has a YouTube channel in which she introduces many interesting recipes and cooking techniques.
"The channel has really helped my children. Whenever they have a doubt they could easily watch it on the channel. Besides, even after I have gone, their children and the coming generations can see me cook on the channel. I have done all of that in advance," notes the actress.
Ponnamma is all set to turn entrepreneur by opening her dream project 'Ponnamma's Kalavara' which focuses on home delivery of delicious traditional dishes. "Home cooked food that is made in my unique style would be delivered. It would function in association with the prominent online food delivery chains. As of now, the delivery from Ponnamma's Kalavara would be based in Kochi," explains Ponnamma.
