Actress-dancer Paris Lakshmi and her husband Sunil, who is a noted Kathakali artist, are spending their lockdown days cooking some delicious French delicacies, tending to their plantain orchard, and playing with their darling pet dogs. Lakshmi is a bit worried about the COVID-19 situation in her home country France.
Her parents and brother live in the Aix-en-Provence in France. They, too, are in home quarantine as a nationwide lockdown has been announced in the European country. Though Lakshmi contacts them over the phone every day, she still is concerned about the situation there. Meanwhile, the couple is trying to make ar, a part of their daily lives to overcome the pressures of the lockdown.
They have even begun thinking about forming a unique art form that blends the nuances of Kathakali and Bharatnatyam. Before the travel ban and lockdown, Lakshmi and Sunil had scheduled a three-month tour of UK, USA, Dubai, and Kuwait where they were supposed to perform.
However, it has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Lakshmi says around 15 artists who were part of the touring group are suffering financial difficulties as the program got postponed.
Lakshmi has shared a simple recipe of the French crepe, a thin pancake, for you to try out during the lockdown days. This delicious and soft crepe would be loved by kids.
