Morasu fish in green chilli gravy

Morasu or needle fish tastes amazing when fried or cooked as a curry. Check out the special recipe of morasu cooked in green chilli paste.

½ kg needle fish
1 cup grated coconut
4 green chillies
1 piece ginger
5 garlic cloves
1 onion
1 tsp turmeric powder
4 sprigs curry leaves
Salt as required
Coconut oil as required

Clean the fishes by rubbing them with salt
Heat coconut oil in an earthen vessel
Sauté finely chopped ginger, garlic, onions and green chillies
Add grated and crushed coconut
Add turmeric powder when the gravy begins to heat up
Pour water as required
Add the cleaned fishes when the gravy boils
Add curry leaves as well
Cook with the lid on.
