Kalkand is a sweet recipe made using thickened milk, ghee and sugar. Check out the recipe of kalkand barfi.
2 litres milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
150 gm sugar
2 tbsp ghee
Boil the milk and stir for at least 15 minutes for it to thicken up
Add the lemon juice when the milk is thick and reduced to half
Mix well and boil again
Into it add the sugar and boil until the milk turns brown in colour
Add the ghee as well
Pour this mixture into a tray or a mould
Allow it to cool down completely
After 15 minutes cut into desired shapes and serve.
