Try this very unique and extremely fragrant mullapoo or jasmine payasam if you are bored of having the regular payasams for Onasadya. It requires very few ingredients and is easy to prepare as well.

The sweet fragrance of fresh jasmine flowers is the highlight of this amazing dessert that would make your Onam celebrations extra special. Cardamom powder or nuts aren't added in this payasam as it already fragrant and full of flavours. Check out the interesting recipe for jasmine payasam.

Ingredients
1 litre milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup condensed milk
200 gm ada
Jasmine flowers

Preparation
Cook the ada and then wash them in cold water to remove its starch
Boil milk in a thick bottomed vessel
Add the cooked ada when the milk begins to boil
Add the sugar as well
Mix and stir well
Now add the condensed milk
Add some more milk when the payasam begins to thicken up
Boil for some more time
Turn off the flame and cover the mouth the vessel using a cotton cloth
Place the jasmine flowers on this cloth
Now cover the garland using two or three sheets of plantain leaves
This seals in the steam, making the payasam extremely fragrant
Keep it aside for at least 30 minutes
Serve the mullappoo payasam when it is still hot.
