Millets are storehouses of healthy fibres. Including dishes made with millet in your daily diet would lower cholesterol. Besides, it is excellent for diabetic patients too. Millet porridge is given to babies for their brain and bone development. Millet is a versatile ingredient that can be used to make a variety of local dishes and snacks. 1 cup millet powder
1 cup grated coconut
½ cup jaggery
1 big banana
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder

Mix the millet powder, coconut and jaggery well using your fingers
You could also use jaggery syrup
Into it add chopped banana
Crush the banana lightly while mixing it
Add water if required
The dough should be a bit loose
Run the plantain leaf over the flame to soften it
Place 2 tbsp millet-banana dough in the centre of the leaf
Fold the leaf from four sides
Cook the leaf packets in steam for 15-20 minutes
Enjoy the delicious millet-banana ada as a healthy evening snack.
