Ambulance en route to Bihar from Kerala attacked

Kozhikode: An ambulance carrying the body of a Bihar native who was killed in an accident in Kerala was attacked on Saturday.

The ambulance was attacked as it reached the Jabalpur-Rewa national highway, Manorama News reported.

Kozhikode natives Fahadh and Rahul are the drivers of the ambulance. Two other Bihar natives were also accompanying the body. It is suspected that the ambulance was attacked using air gun.

“Though we requested help from the Bihar police they refused to offer assistance,” ambulance driver Fahad said.

The Bihar native was killed after being hit by a train in Kozhikode.

The ambulance started from Kozhikode Medical College Hospital from November 23. The ambulance carrying the body is stranded in Bihar now.

The vehicle needs to travel another 700km to reach its destination, Fahadh informed the Kerala police.
