Hello
A check dam has been readied across Kabani to arrest the water from Karapuzha Dam, 60 km away.
The farmers say that the last time they experienced such a prolonged dry spell was two decades ago in 2004.
The thick forest at Kabini is a part of the Nagarhole national park. Extending to an area of 55 acres, the Kabini forest was once the favourite hunting ground of the maharajas of Mysore.
This day-long walking trail takes you through the villages where one can learn about their skills of hunting and fishing, try their hand at archery and taste the forgotten food.
Kannarampuzha flows into Kabani from the west side of the village creating a majestic fusion to watch.
