The division bench of Chief Justice Mani Kumar and Justice Shaji P Chaly has passed the order on a plea that was filed by the Kerala Students Organization and Faseeh Rahman, a class ten student in Mukkam Kozhikode.
Like last year, the government is planning to shift the student-less plus one courses to districts with surplus students. A decision on the issue would be taken only after evaluating the plus one applications in each district.

In Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts, the number of Plus-1 seats is much less than the students who have cleared the SSLC exam. There is a shortage of 22,329 seats in Malappuram district alone.
The class 10 and 12 board exams were conducted in April 2021 amid the raging pandemic. As many as 4.12 lakh students appeared for the exam.
The results will be available online immediately after the official declaration of the results.
The tabulation of papers have entered its last phase. Once completed, the results will be approved by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations.
Paper evaluation of students who took the Kerala SSLC examination will be conducted from June 7 to June 25, Education Minister V Sivankutty said on Thursday.
The written exams for SSLC students will end on Thursday.
The higher secondary practicals are scheduled from April 28 after the written exams.
